Hexagon LED light

Does anyone know if 5A2 vs 552 Adaptive Full LED are both hexagon shaped angel eyes? What's the true difference between the 2?
I noticed the 552 can't be ordered alone but must be ordered with the ZPP premium pkg at $1950.

Thanks in advance.

Only 552 Adaptive full LED has the hexagon shaped angel eyes.

5A2 is the basic headlights.

No, they're also LED.

The 5A2's definitely look like Xenons. I have never seen a BMW LED headlamp unit not have the horizontal bar going across the light.

They are LED
The F48 X1 also has the projector style LED.
They are made by a different manufacturer to the reflector style with the "bar"

Pity, I thought the default for all G30s was the Hex design.... the round LED's are not very strong, I have seen them on a newer 3 series, quite dull

Dont know what you saw, but the current 3 Series uses the reflector design like the "Hex" G30 and they are equally as strong (bright)

Sure it was not a Halogen equipped 3 Series ?

2015 320d SE, LED Corona Rings and I believe LED lights (Dim/Bright)... they just seemed quite dull... almost the same as my F10 Corona Rings (Halogen 2012 prior to Xenon being standard)... as they say the proof is in the pudding

I have had Halogens for too long and they are nearly useless in the F10... I just hope my G30 lights let me see in the dark
