93North - Quincy-2-Southie
This has to be one of the worst stretches of Massachusetts freeway. In less than one month ( w/about 8 trips ) , I've hit several potholes ( one severe, see previous thread ) and numerious windshield chips. Not only is it due for a resurface, but WTF is MassHighway doing?!? Clearly they are neglecting this section of 93. Is it just my bad luck or do others that travel this roadway share similiar comments / experiences?

In general, the highways in MA are very poorly maintained, except for the MassPike. I-93 and I-95/Rte128 are extremely nasty when it comes to pot holes.

My parents (living in Korea right now) used to complain about Korea's road conditions.
After they visited me here in boston, they are happy with the roads in Korea lol |

I thought the roads in San Francisco were bad but Boston is worse. They need to do more to maintain the roads here

I-93 south is just as bad, especially the first lane.
I once almost hit the blocks in the middle as I was trying to avoid a HUGE pothole. lol... no.. it was very scary |

Couldn't agree more, especially the section starting from warren tower all the way to kenmore square. Ironic thing is that, they are always fixing the road but nothing ever improves.

I drive that road everday, well sometime 2x
I've scrapped under my side skirt real bad back in oct. They dug up the whole road at that time and was so hard to dodge the giant manholes with traffic. Hate that road

Somerville Ave has been torn up for a year. I wish they would fix it. Oh, and Beacon Street in Somerville needs repaving BAD. However, two new potholes, deep ones formed last month, and within a week they were filled. Of course, this was after I hit both of them

YES! I went from a SUV of 4+ years to a 335xi and I feel like half the time I'm staring at the pavement dodging potholes. Kinda sucks actually...as with the SUV you just drive, but obviously the excitement / rush level is that much higher with the 335. Trade-offs, as with most anything in life.

rt 3 near the cape has been pretty much abandoned. The highway is awful especially northbound. my 230's love it.
