UPDATE: Hated Seeing The Silver Muffler Below My Bumper & Did This...

As the title says, and while it was off the car to install new tips i took advantage and sprayed my muffler. I guess technically its not "ceramic coated" since its not baked on; but it is the same VHT high heat ceramic coating; with 5 coats so we'll see how it holds up. Waiting for VRSF catless dp's from Jeff (Top Gear Solutions, which by the way offered a very pleasant buying experience) so after the muffler is installed I'll post a pic.

I've been thinking the same thing, every time i pull up behind my car I see all the silver against the black. I was going to use rubberized undercoating because I'm not taking the suspension apart to paint it. Good job

BMW actually made the muffler shape like this for aerodynamic purposes. the shape helps draw air out from underneath the car and reduce negative wind pressure underneath the car. you'll also see this on the new mazda 6 for example.

I've been thinking of doing this as well. Might go ahead and give it a shot this year.

Thanks. I'm not sure i would trust anything rubber based though; in regards to the heat.

With the car on jack stands and a good masking job I'm sure you could do it on the car. Go for it!

Not much exhaust under there I'm afraid, mostly suspension stuff that peeks out from under the ride height of the Xdrive
