Before flashing ECU with ESYS...

As i am pushing the start button in the TAL processing screen in Esys, I get a warning that the VCM Istep will be updated.

Is this desirable? Should it be avoided? Would my dealer object to it, void warranty etc?

Thanks!

It is recommended to either have update VCM selected part of E-sys or write changes to VCM manually after flashing. Otherwise, when reading ECU / VCM, it will show incorrect firmware on SVT tree.

Even if flashing a single ECU? (the ASD ECU)
I mean I understand the IStep in VCM to be global, so if only one module is on the most recent version, does it make sense to update the VCM Istep

If you do not update VCM, then it will show incorrect information when reading.

Could be that there is no update. But, without more information, tough to speculate.

To flash Hu module, I need to launch esys program by itself or I need to run Esys by TolkenMaster aplication?

Both is working.
But it is recommended to launch esys directly without launcher.
