VERY comprehensive review of the G30 530d X Drive.
Great review by French Magazine "Auto Plus" of the G30 530d X Drive.
The review considers the French version of the 530d so pricing and options are only valid for this particular market, but one can have an idea about what will the standard or optional equipments will be for their own market. Note that French magazines are usually very hard on BMW's, often criticizing their ride/handling not very well suited for narrow and bumpy French B roads. But this one is a bit of a revelation. Future buyers of the G30 will find lots of interesting details in this review. That the review gives rating for almost every aspect of the car from excellent (dark green square) to bad (red square) compared to similar vehicles in the category (luxury mid-size sedans). They also give stars (up to five for the most important categories). I've rarely seen a 4.5 out of five as an overall rating from this magazine, so they consider the new 5 Series as THE new standard in this category. I've taken the time to translate almost everything from French to English whilst trying to keep the exact same formatting as the original pages of the magazine. There may be mistakes here and there but I hope you'll enjoy the read. Cheers!

thanks
I see the steering in this review only gets an average. The one area I was really hoping would be better than the F10 (a bit heavier and not vague). Despite that, my gut feeling is that BMW have a winner here. |

I'm really liking the look of the luxury line. The rear bumper looks much cleaner with the classic rounded exhaust tips as opposed to the weird looking M sport model.
