Starting problems
2006 325i w/sport package, 165000 miles.
A few days ago, I tried starting my car. The engine was turning but could not catch. Tried it again but the engine was turning a bit slower like the battery was drained. The battery is only a couple months old. I couldn't get it to start after several more tries but all the electronics seems to be fine. The next day started off with the same issues with starting the car. Then after a few tries it started but it ran for about 10 seconds then shut off. After several more tries, it started without any problems and the engine ran without shutting off. I don't want to drive it until I find out what the problem is. This has to be the weirdest problem I experienced with my car. I read other posts about starter issues but I don't think I have the same symptoms. Anybody had this problem? |

You're starter is shot..
I just hit 65k miles on the 335 and had to replace my starter at around 62k. Wound up replacing the starter and battery. Also, you said you have a new battery.. Was it registered after you connect it up? |

Registered? I don't know. The BMW dealership installed the new battery. |

I had issues starting my car a few yrs ago and wasn't catching. Ended up being my eccentric shaft sensor seal failed.
