Winter tire question.

I currently run the all season Continental Contipro contact tires that came with my car when I purchased it. THEY SUCK WITH EVEN 1" OF SNOW!!!!! Can anyone give me a good tire for rwd that doesnt slide like its on ice? Even taking off from a light with dtc on i can barely go 5mph without the ass sliding out... Shits redonk..

Bridgestone Blizzak WS80, Nokian Hakkapeliitta R2, and Michelin x-ice Xi3 are all popular winter tires with good reviews.

I have the Blizzak LM-25 RFT on mine right now which is a "performance" winter tire and is what BMW uses for OEM winter tires. I caught a good deal on Craigslist but I wouldn't pay retail for these because they are $$$ due to being RFT. The other tires I listed would work better for actual snow anyway, but we barely get any here in Seattle.

The 205/65 will be 1.6" taller and probably not a good idea.
If you live in northern Ohio get X-ice or Blizzak type tire.
If you live in southern Ohio get performance winter tires.

I've got the x ice3 on my 335i and they are great no problems in the snow at all. quiet for everyday driving as well just not the same dry performance if you try and push it

what did you expect to happen? you're acting surprised that all-seasons dont perform well in snowy condition. I have a set of yokohama ice guard on my car and performance is great. they are smooth and quiet for a winter tire.
