Run Flat Tire Install Questions
Recently bought a set of 225/45 18 Conti SI Winter Tires (non-run flats) off Tirerack to put on my 2016 340i and replace the stock summer run-flat Contis.
Used Tirerack's "recommended installers" to find a local place to get the swap done. Drove to Bridgestone tire shop only to be turned away by the owner saying he doesn't have the proper safety equipment to work on run-flats. Said to go to Goodyear store next door. Went there and they pointed me to the only Goodyear store in the Milwaukee area who is equipped to work on run-flats. Made an appointment for next weekend and they quoted me $13x.xx to do the install. This seems very high and nearing dealership type prices. Has anyone had similar experiences with RFT tire installation? What are typical prices people pay to get RFT tires installed? |

If you are using a Tirerack certified installer they should have the same pricing across the board.
Pricing off tirerack is $20 mounting/balancing PER TIRE for 45 series and an additional $7 per tire for run flats. $5 per tire if you need TPMS service. So about $128. Seems about right.
