I'm with Esure, I've heared horror stories about them but considering they are £500 for me and the next cheapest was £1100 I thought it was worth the risk.
That aged 26 had my licence 6 years and 4 years no claims, no accident etc |

They have upped the excess to £800 quid, although Direct Line wanted £1200, they seem to have upped them everywhere it seems. I had to call them several times to get this, first time I got South Africa call centre who were totally useless and I ended up having to hang up on them, then I called and got the UK and was friendly with them, and being a long time customer I told them the quotes I had, and they looked it over and bought it down to a fraction over Direct Line (£10 more) which I was happy with to avoid the hassle of change. Of course it will depend where you live, how you park, no claims etc, age.., also key is what job you tell them, you have to be careful on this one as if you pick the wrong one it can double it or more, and it includes communiting to work, but NOT business travel (I may have to add this, but thats usually around £30-50 more if anything) Didnt require a tracker |

I initially went with BMW (Allianz) but just got a quote from LV= for under £400 for me and my wife, including driving abroad, business use, NCB protection, and a couple of other extras. The excess is higher at £500 compared to £120 but I'm cool with that. I'm 63 and I do park the car in a locked garage at home. Current mileage is about 9K/year. I did some contracting work with LV= last year and they are going after market share against Allianz et al, so this may be a good time to get a quote form them.
Addendum: Just swapped today to LV= at £390.60 as above plus hire care if being repaired.

Not sure how it works over there, but we have to state any modifications as well, even if they are cosmetic, so I had to state the front / real splitter / diffuser, the rear spoiler and the Exhaust which did push the cost up, for some insurers that made the cost 800+ but after a chat with underwriter of my existing insurer about what the parts are / do and the fact the 'performance' exhaust isn't really a power booster of any significance they were happy. They really like to hit you for any mods on the car here
