Any way to replace e90 LCI m sport lower center grille without removing bumper?

I'm trying to replace my lower center grille on my 2011 e90 LCI with m sport. First of all, from what little I can move it, I can tell that thing is really attached to those bumper clips. Second, since I am replacing it, is there a way to remove and install without removing the bumper?

You might be able to get to it by taking the under tray off. The grill is only held on by plastic tabs i do believe.

I have the belly pan off, and even had the intercooler out. I saw the tabs connected to the bumper holding the grill, but I could absolutely not move the damn thing! Part of the bumper might be in the way. I can't tell

I believe it is possible. But removing the bumper is relatively painless so it's probably the easier way to do it. Not sure how you'd get the upper tabs to release if the bumper is still on the car, it would be an awkward angle. Bumper removal takes maybe 15-20 minutes - 4 bolts between headlights, undertray bolts, and then the 4 bolts at the fenders.

I'll give it a try some time when it's a little warmer. I've taken the bumper off before and you're right; it's not difficult with a helper.

Thanks everyone!
