Removing the rubber nib, removing knobs, removing hair off your tires

used one of the razor blades that we use for clear film installation to clip them off, some use nail clipper or box cutters all good.

Well now that I am alerted to their presence. I can't unsee them. I guess I will be removing them on my next wash.

Thanks. I think!

No way dude, now they are going to grow back all thick and bushy. Just splash them with some patchouli and add love beads.

But seriously, thanks for helping me feel just a little less OCD (doesn't everybody use a brush to clean mud out of the lettering?).

I have the same razor blade!

Also I've already done this. Any tips on removing the yellow/red circles that come on tires?

The paint, the little dots on the sidewall used as the starting point when you're mounting a tire to ease with balancing. I went to take a picture but noticed the paint had already started to fade and now it scratches off easily with a finger nail. When the tires were new nothing was getting those dots off. Taking the picture also reminded me I hadn't taken the rub knobs off my winter tires, just the summers, thanks for that

I use Griot's rubber cleaner with their tire brush and some elbow grease. It works well for me.
BTW those tires need cleaning anyway.(wink wink)

Totes yo it's just so hard with snow to keep em clean

I'll have to pick some up soon though. The scratching left a faint outline of the paint circle.

I feel your pain about Winter tire cleaning. I solve the problem by not driving the car in the Winter.

That's just sad to see you car covered like that. Then again, right now, my car is covered too. It's got a nice layer of crusty road salt.

I plan on removing tomorrow...

Yeah, one month down and three to go for the Bimmer. It was either this or a set of snow tires and wheels.Since we really only need one car in our household, anyway, I opted for storage.
I removed the white " cover" from our other car earlier this week:the joys of northern living!

Same here I try to appreciate how sometimes the splatter patterns make a nice kind of fractal flame job, but does make me hinky till I get it cleaned off. Of course, first I gotta scrape the ice out of the driveway....

Hey, I realize this is an old post but what kind of cover do you use / reccomend for the winter? I will be storing mine this winter as well in a non-heated garage. Any special precautions you take for winterization? do you still fire it up once and a while? do you leave it on a battery tender? etc?

If you can leave it on a tender.
