Limp mode at 5k

Hey lads

I have been enjoying my 335i and noticed that regardless of gear right about at 5k rpm I get the limp mode half engine. It disappears on restart and I have not been able to find any codes. I do have the dmtl pump code that's going to be addressed in a week or so however this limp mode has me stumped.

You need to pull codes. There are many things that can cause this.

When you say you can't find any codes - what are you using to find them?

Is it specifically 5K, or just high revs in general? since you have no codes, my only guess would be some sort of heat issue which is common for your engine. my first step would be to remove your plastic engine cover to help stabilize temperatures somewhat, and run a thicker weight oil if you arent already (5w-30, 5w-40 oil) trying revving it hard ONCE and see if that helps. either way, you will need to try and pull codes and figure out why this is happening.

I've been using a obd2 code reader, the only code I ever get is the dmtl current too high however nothing right after a limp mode as I've reset codes and forced limp again. Imy taking it in on Wednesday since I do have warranty. I also get unstable idle and power surges right after filling up so I'm thinkingredients maybe hpfp

Also it seems to happen any time I WOT, if I'm just driving 80kmh and want to quickly pass some one it will trigger the limp. Has nothing to do with heat as it happens both fully warmed up and half way warm too. Wp just replaced last week, same with alternator.

Turns out it is a vachum canister with a broken nipple. Therefore one turbo was disabled

I have the same issue however I am pulling 30FF and 29F3, any thoughts? Happens around 5k or when WOT, disappears on restart, also sometimes on cold start it revs up and goes down to below 700 and almost stalls, could this all be the fuel pressure sensor?
Any help please
