I have had my new car for almost 2 weeks now
It has Professional Media and the maps are Euro EVO 2016-2 which is by no means the latest as far as I can tell

The connected drive portal confirms that I have over the air auto updates approved but it obviously still hasnt updated.

Neither the concierge or BMW help line can tell me if it should have done by now or if it just updates at a strict 4 times per year

The reason Im curious is that when it was delivered the supplying dealer had not activated the unlock code for the maps which rendered the Nav useless to start with and Im beginning to wonder if something else has been missed too

Its pretty random. my car is on 2016-2 at the moment and its says 55% progress on an update.

I can't see any rhyme or reason to when it decides to update.

As others have said, pretty random. I think mine did it approx a month or so ago even though I'd updated it from website via USB. But it can be months between.
