Do you have the standard auto of the Sports Auto?

Sports mode usually sorts that out. There is a slight hesitation in comfort (or below)

Yay, someone else with a 325d !

All these 335d / 340i are so common, I think the real elites are those with the really rare engine setup.

As to your question, sorry, can't help. Mine's a manual box

not sure which one I have how would I find out?

I didn't know if something could be coded to make it more responsive. I always forget to put it in sports mode lol

If you have paddles you've got the sports auto.

As has been said, if you have the paddles it's a sports auto.

2TB can be coded into a standard auto and some have said this improves response.

I have sports auto and I love the stick to the left and Sport or Sport+ mode. Smooth as silk through the gears.

If you are in comfort mode and it happens then do a gearbox reset, a quick search on here will give the method and really helps. The gearbox learns the driving style which if you are in a lot of traffic means it learns to dull responsiveness, failing that live in sport mode!

According to this

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/BMW_3_Series_(F30/F31)

160 kW (215 hp)@4400
450 N·m (332 lb·ft)@1500-2500

Also was the only other f3x that had two turbos, like the 335d iirc

I think the old 325d in the e90 range had the same 3.0L as the 330d and 335d almost certain the 325d in the F30 uses the 2.0L tractor engine same as the 320d

I would try the accelerator peddle reset, my 330d has the same issue i am guessing BMW gear the comfort and Eco modes for highest mpg so may place the engine into some state that takes a few seconds to get out of or i may be talking out my arse.

After i stopped doing motorway miles my 30d started to feel more pronounced hesitation when pressing the go peddle so it could be the car learning a new driving style or doing a quick gear change from 8th to 7th (no idea) - my 30d loves to sit at the lowest possible rpm in comfort and thus has a little turbo lag before pressing on unless you stand on the go peddle in which case it will simple change gear and off we go. It is slightly irritating but nothing that bothers me.

Didn't know that. Thanks for that

And after a bit of searching, I found this on how to do it:

You need to hold the accelerator down for two minutes - not 5 seconds. Rest of the procedure is right though
