AWE exhaust vs MPE exhaust 340i

Looking to buy a muffler only/exhaust for my 340ix - no midpipe (yet). Always been a big fan of AWE since 7+ years in my Audi days.
So eager to hear if someone has heard both in person and could advise me which seems the better option.

Making a decision solely based on YT videos is never a good idea but it's something to start with. It seems that AWE has a deeper tone and MPE has a little raspier note, correct?

Since I'm in the EU the AWE exhaust is +/- double the cost of the MPE.
AWE - 4-8 weeks lead time = roughly €2000 including shipping costs and import taxes (26%)
MPE - immediate availability = €1000 (normal tips, carbon would be €1200)

Trying to avoid having buyer remorse if I'd opt for the MPE. What are your impressions? The production time for the AWE is somewhat holding me back, so if a vendor might have anything in stock. I'd jump on it
(90 mm black tips please)

Need to make a decision in the next days so any help is appreciated!

Ouch...... shipping and taxes on AWE!

You might wanna look at the MPPK for that price.... or go MPE and a engine tune would probably still be cheaper that AWE.

MPPK package is not interesting to me at least. It does replace the whole system, but the gains are not worth it to me. Warranty is a plus but most of us know that you know what you risk when modding (to whatever extent).

I do plan on tuning the car, be it flashing when available or A8, but not at this time as it has no real priority. Power is pretty sufficient as it is.
So no need for JB4/DP nor logging.

The MPE sounds great to me however it is not racy, it is significantly louder and deeper than stock but can still be discreet in the lower rpms in comfort when you don't want to stand out.

AWE will me more aggressive. You should choose the type of sound you want and base you decision on that

What kills it for me in the AWE is the deletion of the valves and the versatility of having the Jeckyl/Hyde transition at a push of a button.

It sounds fantastic but it would be nice to be able to cruise at a lower level even if louder than stock when you want to.
