Hi guys,

I have a question regarding a forced regeneration of DPF via Carly app.

What happened is i bought a car and im not sure if it has gutted DPF or not.
It does smoke but it doesnt smoke that bad. The mpg is good but maybe not as good. The Carly app does show Ash volume at 49g and the soot lvl hovers around 20g (sometimes it goes down to 18g then up to 22g and so on), it never really goes higher or lower so im confused as hell.

Now i could try to force regen via Carly app but my question is if the DPF is gutted can i harm the car in any way by doing that?

Thanks in advance, as you probably can see im not rly a pro in this area.

No, You won't harm it. If the DPF would be extremelly clogged, computer would disable regeneration and that's all.

Thank you, So i tried via Carly app and the regeneration force attempt failed.

Not sure if i can conclude that the DPF isnt there and has been gutted.

The soot still hovers around 20g and last regeneration value is at about 70 000km. But i dont know if these Carly values can actually be trusted.

Anyone knows about a way to confirm this without looking inside?
