Rookie Wheel Question
Hi all,
I'm looking at going with an aftermarket set of wheels for my M2. The ones I have my eye on come in 19x10 for the rear and 19x9.5 for the front. There is not a 19x9 option for the front. I'm going to be swapping over my stock tires to the new wheels so going up to a 20 is not in the cards. Will I run into any issues with leaving the rears at the stock 19x10 size and upping the width of the fronts by 1/2 an inch to 9.5, all while running stock tires? Will the stock front tires even stretch to accommodate a 9.5 inch wide wheel? Any help is much appreciated! |

I'm not 100% certain. They are Vorsteiner V-FF 101. I'll have to call them to find out. The fitment guide on their website lists E46, E82, E85, E86, and E9X. Just no M2, I suspect because of that .5" greater width up front.

Thanks man! Yeah, I'm really really torn. Was thinking a dark bronze (would need to be custom powder coated) as I wasn't sure how the graphite would look against the MG of the car. But then I saw a beautiful Porsche GT3 from my office window that was pretty close to MG in color and had graphite wheels. It looked awesome. Thinking the bronze might be a little too flashy now. My wife is cringing at the idea; she's pulling for gunmetal.

Well the good news is that they come in gunmetal anyway so I can mount them up and live with them for a while before making any decision. I know myself well enough to know that once I have them on there and am driving the car, I'm not likely to take the car out of commission for a week to get the wheels painted. Yes, I am resorting to leveraging my inherent laziness to force me down a path that I ultimately know is the right one, but cant admit because it'll prove my wife was right all along. |

I'm planning on getting the Vorsteiner VFF 103's after I burn through the stock tires. Here are the sizes and offsets I'm on going with. (Confirmed fitment from another forum member.)
9.5 x 19 and 10.5 x 19 front ET 22 Rear ET 30 (99% sure) I'm not sure about stock tires fitting this setup, I'll be grabbing a fresh set for the new wheels. The above setup will give you excellent concavity and wheels should be flush with the fenders and fit perfectly if you lower it. I'm also getting MG and I'm torn between black and gunmetal wheels. Let me know what you think of the gunmetal! |

Not to jack your thread, but does anyone know if it's possible to fit 18" 269's, 513's, or 313's on the m2??
