Passenger Side Mirror with Auto Dimming

Hi,

Can someone with a F30 LCI take a picture of their Passenger Side Mirror which has auto dimming. Noticed mine doesn't dim where the driver side does. Wondering of the wrong mirror got installed from factory.

Thanks

Should look exactly the same as the drivers side mirror glass.

Apparently this had been changed on lci and 4 series too. Not sure why but I remember someone on here raised it with Bmw and it has been said passenger side no longer dims.

^^^ this.

Both were photo-chromatic on 2015 builds (my Nov 2015 was) - changed sometime after that as my (new) June 2016 build only has it on the drivers side.

Cost saving. Same on the 1er, no pass dimming. I guess scrimping like this is the reason they could keep the prices down post Brexit

Short sighted penny pinching like this makes me start to look at other brands and what they offer for similar money.

I don't think this is as simple as cost saving. They would just up the price of the option, otherwise... and, let's be honest, how often do we see that sort of cost saving from them..?

The wording of the option changed to something like anti-dazzle... My guess is that there is some other reason why that mirror cannot be auto dimming anymore... Be interesting to see if new models get the new version and other lci's incorporate the change...

Sorry for the thread resurrection, but I was wondering if anybody ever got a proper explanation of why the changes were implemented...?

I was in a C300 Mercedes the other week and it had the same as the current 3's, photo-chromatic side mirror on the driver's side only...
