That's good to know. I don't recall seeing it on my 2014, I will confirm it later today and if that's the case, I'll drop by the dealership and see what's going on.

It should be visible in the car status menu. Here are some pictures of mine:

List is a bit empty, because my car never sees a BMW dealer unless something is broken and needs a quick OEM fix xD

That's weird... Mine doesn't show that option:

I'm wondering if anyone else in North America can also see that option? In the meantime I will email the dealership asking if they know anything about that.

Not yet. I wanted to double check that at least someone in North America got a car with this feature before asking them.

The dealer where I live seemed pretty douche. They'll probably just throw me any answer so that I can walk away.

I'm willing to bet this is an EU-regulation thang that's not view-able on U.S. (and NA) models -- or vice versa, since U.S. law (not sure about Canada) requires consumers to have a choice regarding certain vehicle services (IOW, it doesn't have to be done by a dealer with the software to record an entry into this iDrive log).
