Put some new (cheap) pads in and they will smooth out the scoring.

My fronts have worn on the outer edge and bordering illegal. So I was going to put my front run flats back on and buy some part worn rears

Edges don't matter, as long as the 3/4 central grooves are above 1.6 they're fine:

Ah good. No, just replaced the pads. Should really have replaced the discs but didn't want to spend the money when the car is going back
