My e92 328xi manual coupe has a performace exaust on it. It has no resonator and i just recently did a muffler delete it sounds nice but i want a little louder. Im 17 so i think you know why i want tk make it louder lol. Please no hate but im just curious if deleting my secondary cat will give me a CEL and if it will sound raspy with no muffler or resonator.

Don't do it... Save up for A nice performance exhaust if you want to change the sound that bad. Muffler delete= a no no..

If you want to delete one of the cats in NY, get it done by a muffler shop like Gunhill that also does NY state inspections. I doubt that you can pass inspections with one set of cats deleted, but check before you do it.

you bought a performance exhaust and deleted the muffler? why the f*ck would you possibly do that? put your muffler back on you child.. as for the secondary cats, I would recommend it. it helped throttle response and opened up alot of nice sound near the passenger area where the sec. cats used to be. the gains are just as good at a muffler delete without all the ricer sound.
