pro-nav postcode entry

I've tried using the postcode entry, but it doesn't pinpoint the road. Still need to enter the road name, then need to select the town!! Whats the point in that? Is there something I am missing?

Yeah, you can just use the post code.

It's easy just drawing it on the selector dial head)

Alternatively, use send to car or concierge.

Being lazy I tend to use the Doris on the Conceirge.

After entering the postcode you just select "start guidance".

The postcode alone is rarely enough though. If I put in a mate's postcode it takes me to the high road about 5 mins from his house!

Then it's the wrong postcode. A postcode only covers one group of houses.

Certain country lanes and rural locations will mean that the postcode doesn't take you to the door. For instance, ours takes you to 500yds up the road due to the old Farm covering that area which has since been divided up.
OP - as said above, you can 'start guidance' with just the postcode though. adding numbers and roads just refines the search.

Industrial estates / Technology Parks are the best laugh, the post code must cover a number of square miles lol.

For them I always use drop pin on send to car.

Have to admit I'm using send to car regularly at the moment. Such a great little feature.

I don't think I've done this, do you do it from the remote/connected App?

Yes go to destinations at bottom, find the address then send to car.

As teaston has said, simply send from the app.

So simple and effective. Excellent little feature.

Edit: replied to wrong post. Yes there should be an x next to the recent destinations in the search box which lets you delete each one.

Nope, google maps/waze with the same postcode gets me near enough to his front door. BMW pro nav gets me vaguely in the right area.

That's what I mean, pro nav has the wrong postcode.
