Talking OMG! cdv delete = :)

I have just installed a modified CDV from Zeckhausen Racing. This is the way the car should have come from the factory! I would recommend this mod to anyone with a 6 speed. It will make your shifting better 10x better, no more jerky shifts for me.

How much did you pay for it? Where did you get it from? Did you install it yourself? If not, how much did installation cost?

Install took like an hour, I did it at the shop I work for, you have to bleed the air out through the bleeder valve and add dot 4 brake fluid, any shop can charge an hour of labor so like 90 bucks not more to install

I'm going to get one for my next oil change since I'll be under the car for that anyways. Good to hear that the change is noticeable. I used to drive a WRX and I still can't totally get used to the CDV...

CDV delete has been on my 'to do' list for the last 3 years ... One of these days I'm gonna do it.

Best value for money on a mod imo. Doesn't even take an hour. 25 mins tops.

I just picked up a valve from my local BMW dealer and used a long nail to knock out the 2 pieces inside of the valve and installed it myself.

DO NOT USE A DRILL TO REMOVE THE INNARDS OF THE VALVE. A few taps on the nail and the pieces fell out whole. Save myself a little dough.

The modified CDV is a must if you have a manual transmission... It smooths out the shift from 1st to 2nd.

$30 is ridiculous, i dunno how/why people pay for it, just modify your own and its free. if you are picky, get an oem cdv and modify that one, its $5.
