Need Help! Build e90 335xi or e92 335i?

So I currently have a 2007 335xi with FBO at 145k miles. I am graduating soon and was planning to build my car to a single turbo and go all out to make as much power as possible. It would obviously no longer be my daily if I were to do this. But recently I have been debating keeping it as my daily, and finding an e92 335i that is cheap. Whichever I build I plan to gut the interior as much as possible, and completely rebuilt the engine/trans.

So my question is should I build my 335xi and get another daily, or keep it the way it is and find a cheap e92 since the interior and engine do not need to be in great shape?

Before anyone starts saying that this is a lot to do to either car, I know. I plan to build the car slowly over a few months and do everything right.

What will be your purpose for the fully built car? Sounds like a dedicated track/solo car?

I will probably track it occasionally, maybe take it to shows. It is just gonna be my fun weekend car to drive around.
