Front Air intake ...French leaves

Just came back via calais today and due to the weather have loads of leaves on the lower air intake behind the grill. Any one know the best way to access this area to get all the leaves put? Does not look accessible from the bonnet?

On the plus side despite the lower air intake being now full the car was very stable at high speeds in what I have to say was pretty strong winds today. Leaves were hitting the car in a similar fashion to rain..

I have a pair of medical forceps to extract the leaves through the bumper grille.
