Help needed!

Right guys had a minor bump in my car last night, car is still drivable no major damage at all bar the bumper and bonnet, however the air bag has been deployed and it won't start.

Can any one point me the direction of a how to guide to start car. I think I need to disconnect a cable from battery area?

I have had a quick Google but no luck.

Thanks in advance

Search on BST (batter safety terminal).
You will have to find the cable which is on the other side of blown up BST, do some modification and connect it to the battery to start the car and drive to garage.

I would strongly recommend you to change it with bmw oem part. Its around £100-125 from the dealer and sometime you can find it on ebay for £50 used.

Yes its BST.

Bmw has two different power wirings.

One to accessories including lights etc. Thats stays intact so you can have hazards light on in case of accident.

Second wiring is via BST which goes to fuel pump engine etc. Its stops to avoid any fire secondary to overflow of fuel...

Your link is not working.

Here is the cheapest BST on ebay at the moment;
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/BMW-E90-LC...cAAOSwmLlX2lpC

Now if you look at the round connector on the extreme right in this pic, that is where a small cable goes which comes from ABS module and ignited the BST.

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/BMW-E90-LC...EAAOSwOyJX8LHH

And this cable may help you with some modification;
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/12-30Cm-Sp...YAAOSwFdtXzav1

However you cannot connect abs module wire to it therefore airbag light will always be on!

HTH.
