Does this increase the volume of the exhaust significantly? I already have the MPPSK and it's pretty loud on start-up and when driving in Sport mode.

Might have to reinstall the midpipes. It will reduce the exhaust note a bit and help with the smell. I remember the days of an open exhaust on 93 pump. I had to stop backing into the garage it smelled so bad. Wish we could go e85, sweet sweet corn!!!!

Cold start smell or warmed up? On cold start all exhaust even with cats smells bad, so make sure you warm up and then judge.

We haven't really got much complaints about smell across most BMW platforms / engines. I actually like the smell.. Reminds me of a racetrack.

What gas do you run Mike? Pump gas around here with a open exhaust smells reallllly bad....pooooo like....e85 or leaded gas on the other hand

Also once I get the downpipe on I'd love to find a 340 jb4 car with similar mods
to......... compare notes and see where we stand

I run 94 Octane which is a E15 blend (15% Ethanol)
