Arrived last night, installed 10 minutes ago!

Fresh out the box


A couple of "before" pics (ignore the poorly applied, half-tinted rear lights )

Shortly after taking those "after" pics I noticed some of the clips had popped back out, so the fit is better than it looks in those pictures

In fact, apart from the grilles now, all mods on my car have come from forum members haha

Is that the OEM M performance Diffuser? if so has it been painted? (as all the pictures i have seen show it as matt black)

What is the installation procedure?

Yup, OEM although I got it from another member here.

This one's painted black sapphire metallic, apart from the centre section wich is left unpainted (matte black). They come unpainted so you can choose to do as you wish.

It's literally 7 bolts to undo, then unclip the original one, clip the new one on, and put the bolts back in. Easiest mod I've done, even easier than the mirrors/grilles IMO.

So far i have the following ready for the new car (mine is Melbourne Red also ):

Rear Diffuser (looks like i can save some money and install myself)
CF mirror caps (gettting the dealer to install as i have the auto dim mirros)
Side Decals (not sure i will install these - cannot decide if they look a little chavvy)
Black Grilles
CF Rear Spoiler (getting the dealer to install as i will get the alignment wrong)

Sounds good!

Sounds similar to my current mod list apart from the side decals lol

I now have:
Rear diffuser (OEM)
M3/M4 style carbon mirror caps (AutoID)
Matte black double slat grilles (random ebay seller)
CF rear spoiler (rw carbon)

Are you not sold on the side decals? I have seen a few MR 4 series with the full M Performance kits on and the decals looked good (would be better if the white M Performance text was not on them)

I haven't really considered them to be honest, I've seen some people on the forum report the side decals started tearing in under a year and I don't think they look as good on red as they do on some other colours like white

Must say the gloss/sapphire black looks better than I thought it would.

All you need is a set of black chrome exhaust tips.

If you like I can sell you teaston's for a good price however you will have to collect them yourself but can do you a great deal on his front splitter as well.

Looks very good! Noticed there's quite a bit of soot on your tailpipes? Are you sure your car's not a diesel? (not that I had any on my 330D)

Yeah it needs a good clean! The red hides dirt surprisingly well, but you can see how dirty it is in the side on pics

Nice! though btw I'm not sure your licence plate is legal, no postcode of the maker on it had same issue once.

Yeah, I keep the dealer ones in the boot in case I have issues. Had these on for a few months now and no issues, even with police cars right behind me.
