IND F87 M2 Alcantara Custom Stitched Armrest DIY

IND F87 M2 Alcantara Custom Stitched Armrest DIY

Tools Required:

Needle nose pliers
Vice Grips
Nylon pry tool/Pry tool

Step 1:
Using the nylon pry tool, carefully pop the rear trim off. There are two electrical connectors attached- one for the rear cigarette lighter and the other for the rear vent.

Step 2:
Remove electrical connectors.

Step 3:
Next take your vice grips and remove the two dowel pins, one on each side.

Step 4:
Put the armrest in the up position, then pull the spring clip out with the needle nose pliers.

Step 5:
The armrest is now free for removal.

Step 6:
Installation is just the reverse of removal. Place the new armrest in the up position for the spring to clip in correctly.

Step 7:
Push the dowell rods back into place.

Step 8:
Re-attach the electrical connectors.

Step 9:
Pop the rear trim cover back into place.

Enjoy!!

Probably like crap. Alcantara is shit on anything that is regularly touched by human skin / oils.

I love how it looks, but it doesn't do well where it gets fondled.

Can your team make a merino leather option, upgrading the interior on the F87 but the M3/M4 armrest doesn't clip down. I think Alcantara will not wear well.

alcantara does fine if maintained frequently. I like to brush mine and clean mine with an alcantara cleaner once a week
