Change from RFT to PS4
My car is a E90 32OD M Sport fitted with the factory supplied RFT, and the plan now is to have new PS4 tires fitted and carry a spare.
I requested the following size from the tire shop. F 235 x 40 x 18 R 255 x 35 x 18 I am being informed by the shop that no 255 x 35 x 18 are available but they can obtain 265 x 35 x 18 They also have PSS in the following size, but these are double the cost of the PS4 as they were manufactured in the USA. F 235 x 40 x 18 R 265 x 35 x 18 What I would like to know is are there any of you guys running 265 tires on 8.5j alloys and can confirm they are ok to fit. |

I have read online that some people have done this but I personally would not do this myself. 255 is itself the max recommended width on a 8.5j, this is what I run myself on the back.

My New Tyres
I got a call last week my 265 tyres had arrived from Europe, the 235 were already available at my location.
Major improvement from the RF, i am running these at 35 psi front and 40 psi rear. Just checking if this sounds ok or i need to make some adjustment. |
