What are some good subs for the 228i?

My brother just got some custom JL subs in his FJ and they're badass. I was wondering what options are available/what people here were using?

Go to a good audio shop. I have a friend who manages Sound FX and he installed Kicker speakers in my Jeep and they sounded awesome.

Ya we got a spot that recommended dual 8 inch subs from JL. They didn't have the exact one in stock but it's the loudest you can get in the small 2er trunk according to them.

Please look in/search this subforum, which is audio-specific and where you should have posted this in the first place. There are several examples of aftermarket subwoofer installations and plenty of info to get you started ...

... and I'll echo Rayscott : consult with an audio shop. You will need that help.

Also look at Musicar Northwest. They have a kit for a custom enclosure that fits in the driver side of the trunk that looks real clean. They have multiple options but I went with a 10" Audiofrog sub with a Rockford 400 watt amp. I haven't gotten it yet but it comes with everything needed (amp/sub/box/wiring) for 1,200. Pricey but looks so damn clean!
