Removed my hub cap and found this
Why so rusty inside and what's with the pitting ? The car is only 6 years old. I don't think it affects functionality but it seems strange. What sort of tool do I need to remove that nut ? I assume it's to remove the rotor ? |

Not strange at all, its your axle nut. ~36mm socket. Don't remove it!!! (Unless you need to pull axle) It does not secure the rotor. There is a hex set screw for that. |
