I know it does for me.
My previous car did not having dimming mirrors at all and I could change lanes with confidence at night. With my dimming side mirrors, I'm not always 100% sure if a car is there or not. They might have their head lights off, I know I've been guilty of that at least once. |

I've never really felt like I can't see cars at night because of the dimming mirrors. I hate glare and love the dimming mirrors. I have 50% tint and no issues with visibility with the dimming mirrors.

If you're new to the dimming mirrors, it takes a little while to get used to it. I had HUGE wing mirrors in my last car so getting used to a smaller darket mirror took a while but I got used to it and now it's no different than my old car.

I don't rely strictly on the dimming mirrors and always turn my head to look, especially my blind spot. Just common practice.

I was just discussing this the other day. Usually it's no big deal for me, but driving at highway speeds with some traffic with our dimming mirrors definitely makes me think/look twice.

I am not a fan of auto dimming mirrors and wish there was an option for me to turn it off. It makes it more challenging for me to see vehicle silhouettes like you can on a traditional vehicle.

Put a small piece of black tape over the black dot in the top center of the rearview mirror.
