Mix and match tire question
Living in the PNW wet grip handling is key for about 6 months out of the year.
I have read that the best wet weather all season handling tire is the Continental DW 06. The Michelin AS3 is supposed to have much better responsiveness but I am more concerned about overall handling and lack of hydro planing. So to get the best of both worlds I was considering running my Dunlop Direzza Star Spec 2's on front and 265/35/18 Conti's on the rear for grip? This way I should have great responsiveness and wet weather handling. Thoughts? |

It doesn't really work like that. You need similar grip on both ends, so a matched set is best.
