Hi All,

I am trying to code DRL to work. They currently don't work at all even with the setting in iDrive ticked.

So far have changed HU_NBT Daydriving to "Standard". Other options are "perm off" or "perm on".

If I modify TFL_MODUS to anything other than off, I get an couple of service warnings. Adaptive headlight failure and lane change warning failure.

Option in TFL_MODUS are drl_s, drl_l, drl_h, TFL_s or Off.

Is there some other settings I need to change to get DRL to work?

I have 8TM fitted to car.

Any ideas would be a great benefit.

You have 8TM Daytime Lights by vehicle start inactive?

You want one of these:

• 8TL: Daytime Lights Front and Rear Active
• 8TN: Daytime Lights with Light menu Adjustment

I have just checked translation for 8TM - "Tagfahrlicht bei Fahrzeugstart inaktiv" which turns out to be "DRL inactive at vehicle start"

This may indeed be my issue.

In regards to 8TN or 8TL, can I add these? If so, is that done by VO code?

If you were to add them to FA, then yes, it would be applied to vehicle by VO coding. Alternatively, you can FDL.

You can use TM NCD / CAFD Tool to see how those options would affect your ECU's. That way you can FDL code and not overwrite any other existing personalized settings.

You do not have to write FA changes to Vehicle Configuration Management (VCM) and I recommend you do not.

Instead, you load a modified FA and use it to VO code.

If you are going to FDL code, you need to know which parameters to change. TM's tool will help you with that.

Can you please explain in a step by step process. I know how to change 8TM to 8TN in SALAPA.

What happens next, do I save the FA file to desktop?
Then what?

Hello! Can someone help me? I bought a F30 320i Sport GP but DRL (angel eyes) don't turns on when i startup the ignition / engine. DRL (angel eyes) Only works when low / high beam is on.

I have the option to switch on / off DRL in iDrive but not work when i check the option. And idrive shows that the vertical adjustment of the headlights does not work.

I have Esys cable and softwares to code the car.

Edit fa and change 8TM to 8TN in SALAPA. Load FA in the coding tab. Activate fa. Read VCM. Code FEM and HU.
