Chuffin 335d Remap RFT...
Just look what the remap it did to my RFT's!!.... its a tire shredder quite literally.. heard a flapping noise and bits came off following an enthusiastic pull out of a slip round - damn this cars quick
Anyway - went for the Goodyear Asymmetric F1's as per the autocar review: http://www.autocar.co.uk/VideosWallp...=228551&Mode=B - The ride quality alone is significantly better than run flats - all the crashing and bumps are gone, no longer do I grit my teeth approaching small pot holes/bumps. Too early to comment on grip/traction yet (done 6 x miles so far) but the tyre noise is drastically reduced as well. Best way I can describe it is it felt like I was driving on the rims before and now I have the tires inflated! Here's the tread of the Aysm F1's if anyone's interested: Sorry pics are crap - camera phone.. I got mine from Pneusonline.co.uk - they have to be shipped from Netherlands cause Goodyear/Dunlop UK has no stock yet.. Cheers, Jim Jim |

Will be ineteresting to see what life you get with same driving style. I've heard anecdotal reports from coupla friends that they dont last long at all... tho they both have heavy right feet. And with that torque... you're gonna EASILY destroy tyres if you use the torque. Let us all know how u get on...

How many miles did your tyres last and did you replace all 4?

I have those tyres on my 18" wheels.
Ride is much improved over the RFTs and the handling is ver good indeed. The tyres grip very well in dry and wet and don't seem to be wearing too badly. |

No, just turned the traction thingy off to see what it was like - knew the tyres were going to be replaced so thought what the hell.. didn't expect it to shred the tyres though.. they were down to the tread wear marker I suppose..
One thing I have noticed is the inside wears quicker than the outside because the car 'squats' down on the suspension under hard acceleration.. Got some interesting thoughts on these new tyres V run flats - will post in a day or so when I've got a few more miles on them (60 x so far) |

Thanks for the update. I will probably go for the F1's in due course as well. Still a few more thousand miles left of crashing and banging on the current rfts though.
