Technology discontinuation
Hello all
I own a 2011 328. I got this memo in my car today. Just a quick question, does anyone know if connected drive includes navigation? Or will my navigation still work Thanks |

BMW services -- SOS, BMW Assist, and Concierge -- all entail the car's use of cellular telephone technology, and the mobile phone carrier networks no longer support the old cellular protocol necessary for SOS, BMW Assist, and Concierge.
GPS is entirely dependent upon the satellites circling in space, which the US military continues to use for its ultraprecise military purposes. Different beast. |

So does this mean the NSA will no long be able to track my location 24/7?

A manual transmission can be set to "comfort", "sport", and "track" modes simply by the technique and speed at which you shift it; it doesn't need "modes", modes are for manumatics that try to behave like a real 3-pedal manual transmission. If you can money-shift it, it's a manual transmission. "Yeah, but NO ONE puts an automatic trans shift knob on a manual transmission."
