Price for 2013 328xi

Do you guys think $18k is a fair price to offer (Private party) on the following:

2013 328i X Drive - 44k miles
White with Black Dakota Leather
Navigation
Premium Pack
Heated Seats
BMW Assist
Automatic Tran

Certified until early 2019.

There are so many of these vehicles at BMW dealers, Carmax, Enterprise etc....

The guy advertised $23k then immediately came down to $21.5k after I test drove the car and told him I'd think about it. My guess is that trade in on this car is $16k at Carmax, 17k on a good day some place else.

You got $21.5 on a trade in? If so, that's a great price. I'm not knocking you or anything but the dealer is prob making it up on the sale.

I say that since Carmax and a bunch of dealers have list prices for $22k on the low end to $25k on the high end for these cars with similar options and mileage. So you figure $1-3k discount for a sale and you're at your trade in price with no profit.

I think 18K is a fantastic price, especially since its certified. Even 20K is not bad. This is all assuming the car cosmetically and mechanically is in excellent condition.

Cpo doesn't transfer between private party sale. Only if it goes back to a dealer and then they have to decertify it. Ask me how I know.

As someone who is searching for one of these every day, in the same area of the nation, I can say that 17k-21k is a reasonable range. Higher end for lower miles and more options, and the base model with 60-70k miles would go for 17k.

Ultimate depreciation machine means that the used car buyers get a great value

An F30 with those options for that price in New England is a steal. i bought mine with a little bit more mileage and paid more than that however, it wasn't a private party.
