Thumbs up 18x9.5 track wheels from Tire Rack!

BIMMERPOST
     Featured on BIMMERPOST.com
I want to bring a couple track wheels to your attention. These are not listed for the M2 on Tirerack.com because they are aggressive track applications.
Both are very strong wheels specifically designed for track use.
265/35/18 would be the best tire size for a square track package.

OZ Challenge
18x9.5
ET33
24lbs
1 piece low-pressure cast
$449 each

Click this link to view the wheel:
Silver - http://www.tirerack.com/wheels/Wheel...b=wheels&a=BS4

TRMotorsport C4
18x9.5
ET33
Will confirm weight once the first shipment comes in.
1 Piece low-pressure cast
$165 each

Will be available in black or light grey.
Click this link to view the wheel:
Black - http://www.tirerack.com/wheels/Wheel...b=wheels&a=BS4
Light Grey - http://www.tirerack.com/wheels/Wheel...b=wheels&a=BS4

This is a wheel Tirerack is having specifically built for M2 track packages, which is why we are able to keep the price so low.

Neither of these wheels are currently listed for the M2 on www.tirerack.com. These would have to be ordered with me directly.

Feel free to email me directly at Keith@tirerack.com if you have any questions or would like to place an order.

Yes. This is a square set up so you can rotate to any corner.

Keith, this looks like a great square option.....but I am leaning towards maintaining the stagger ( in part to minimize oversteer) so what option do we have for 18/9 and 18/10 wheels. One other factor people need to consider is the fact that a descent track set up will include lowering the car, which might cause rubbing with the bigger 9.5 fronts , especially on a track with high compression .

At this point, we do not have any 18x9 & 18x10 wheel options for the M2. This may change by spring. Most people who are active at the track prefer a square set up, which is why we jumped on making some options available.

I do agree with your statement. Most people going to a full track package and want the most out of the M2 would also want to do some suspension modifications including adding in negative camber. The 2-series is known to eat up front tires on the track, dialing in negative camber will help to minimize this wear.

Nice... thanks... so with this configured and lowered (thinking H&R supersport kind of thing at around -2 degrees up front), any rub risk? I'm looking to run on the street too.

Any chance of some Enkei RFP1's at this size? The OZ is too expensive, and the other ones a great price but ugly.. .Enkeis are right in between

Unfortunately, the Enkei RPF1 is not available in the correct bolt pattern and width.

When will these be available? Going to drive to Road Atlanta from chi town the weekend before turkey day. Can I get a set before then. Planning on taking my e36 M3 down there but could change my mind if these are available in time.

The first shipments are due in November. Should be early November, but that is not 100% confirmed until they are in transit.
I will update this post once I see they are in transit.
