MPH differnce in 93 octane vs E60 file in the 1/2 mile?
Any educated guesses at the what MPH difference an FBO with inlet 335i (stock turbo) could expect between the two files?
I like the ease at which I could arrive at the track running 93 octane - no drama. Also, if I run 93, I can let it get down to an 1/8th tank to save on weight. With the E60 file, I'll need to run close to a full tank off gas, since I'll have a few gallons of 93 in the tanks when I mix in the ethanol. I'm sure then extra timing from ethanol would easily offset the extra 66 lbs of ethanol, but just wanted to get feedback. My best guess is around 3 MPH based on the weight savings versus power loss. I ran 140 or 141 last year in Clayton on E60 and a 4K DA, so I'm hoping to see the same speed on 93 next week in Indiana with the better DA.
