No audio at all in E93? No radio or chime

So I was sitting in my car yesterday while it was completely turned off. All of the sudden I started hearing subtle cracking noises, and as time progressed, the sounds turned into very loud cracking/static noises before it stopped completely. After hearing the noise, I turned my car on and there was no audio what-so-ever. The radio would not play music, the typical welcome chime didn't ring, nor would the seatbelt bell ring. Has anyone else experienced this and know what I need fixed and what I can do? I checked all of the fuses and they are fine, so it's not that.

Water in the amplifier area is what it sounds like.

Water in the amplifier area is what it sounds like.
This is a common problem .
Seals leak of drains clog and water drowns the amp.
Check your amp behind the US driver side rear wheel well
under the trunk floor.
See the third link.
not sure of amp location in convert but it should be similar.

This happened to me back in december when it was raining really hard and the screws holding trunk on got loosened.... Its definitely the amp, I heard the same crackles and pops then nothing. You might be able to take rice and try to soak it up which worked for me for a few months or too but the problem will eventually come back. Check eBay for a used BMW amp!
