Audi RS4 B7
Have just started looking at these online. Prices seem to have softened but still pricier than equivalent M3 especially if you have an Avant.
Anyone had one wonder what handling like? Supposed to be the only un-Audi like handling Audi. Also what are running costs like? Guess be on par with E90 M3. |

Have driven a couple. Handling still a bit "Meh" compared to an E46 M3. They feel a bit woolly and understeer is still the predominant trait. After all, the engine is still in the wrong place, i.e ahead of the front axle.
They're very nicely made though, and have a great soundtrack. However, the engines do get coked up quite easily, so walnut blasting of the inlet ports is needed regularly. Much like a 335i. Overall, I can't imagine them being cheap to maintain properly, but they'd be a lovely car to own. The Avant is the one to go for, with bucket seats etc. The main problem is trying to find a straight one. |
