Here's one of the first 6AT Propulsive Dynamic Built Autos

UNBELIEVABLE!! here's more information:

This exact tranny is going into a Pure Stage 2 machine that's going to make mid to high 600s to the tires.

016 is the year N54 automatic transmission upgrades become reality. There have been various posts detailing options and Propulsive Dynamics showed technical details on their upgrades and the capacity increases possible on the ZF 6HP21 automatic that many of you with E9X 335's and E82 135's own.

The automatic transmission will no longer be left out of the fun when running big boost on the N54 motor. For those who would like to get in on the upgrade early there are three beta tester spots available.

If you are interested consider the following information:

1. Propulsive Dynamics strongly advises that the end user also either rebuilds or replaces the valve-body and torque converter. This would preferably be done through European Transmissions located in Atlanta, GA.

2. Propulsive Dynamics strongly advises that the end user utilize an ATF cooler to aide in heat management of the system.

3. The High Performance Kit includes Upgraded Clutch Kit with increased plate counts in key clutches, Upgraded Bushing Kit with proprietary bi-metallic alloy, and a ZF 6HP19/21 Universal Overhaul Kit.

4. Pricing for the Beta Kit is $1899 plus shipping.

If you are interested please contact @Jason@PropulsiveDynamics on the forum or through e-mail at jason@propulsive-dynamics.com.

Actually they don't really know. They haven't tested the capability themselves. The point of the beta kits, although not specifically stated, is to test this limit, or at least identify what it can do.

Last I read none of the beta testers have installed their transmission. PD has about 1000 miles on theirs and claims it shifts great, but take that with a grain of salt.

Theres a few up and running. We just finished 1 here locally. Its everything you'd expect in a real tranny upgrade and then some. It has a solid shift at 7100.....

There any other maintenence you'd recommend while doing the tranny swap and everything is removed?

Well obviously guibo, trans mounts, maybe driveshaft carrier bearing, etc.

Not sure much else has to come down when swapping the trans.

Care to share more info? It doesn't do any good when people keep the results to themselves.

Not keeping any info to my self, What would you like to know about it? The car that its currently installed is a OEM TT running about 450whp E60 tune. We havent really messed with it because its going under the knife this weekend to get a Motiv ST kit. So we installed the transmission did the adaptations procedure and basically did some shake down and messing around pulls and runs. It shifts much higher than the OEM TCU flash (7100) and also feels like a DCT when it hits gears. The real test will be soon after the ST kit gets installed. So far drivability feels like a really sporty auto, something you'd expect from a higher end car but it doesnt take away from comfort or everyday driving.

Where/how did you get this and how much did it cost you? And they flashed your TCU as well?
