Posted this in the wrong section so figured I'd post it here.

Hoping to gain some insights (regrets or surprises) from options the community chose regarding M performance parts from bmw or 3rd parties like iND.
So far I'm thinking I'll go with:
1. Cf interior (unsure how the durability/clean look will last with open weave carbon fiber) but adds personality to the car
2. CF diffuser- everyone seems to agree it finishes out the back nicely compared to stock
3. CF Spoiler- debated going with iND's CRT style but close to $800 is tough to swallow for a tiny detail
4. Black kidney grills - mostly I want the car to wow me even more when I finally see it in person rather then ordering and installing myself.

I went against the CF side markers because I actually like iND's painted option. LBB with a black marker will make the black look even more like a vent then if the whole piece is one black blob
I'm also not going for the cf mirrors. I feel it looks... Idk... Added on to make up for a lack of m mirrors
Also opting out of the MPE because I hear the Bluetooth controls are a bit tedious? Correct me if I'm wrong and that there are no weight savings or performance gains. Might as well buy a system for 3-4K that'll add to the car and hopefully work with the cars internal flap opening system

So yeah hoping to hear some insightful opinions on options picked up and why!

CF shifter set, though over priced it finishes out interior.

Black kidney grills using F22 surrounds.

Black side markers b/c of black grills. I don't particularly like the painted back piece to me it sticks out worse like the bolt on body panels of US cars. I would prefer to have just the thin M2 chrome/black piece, like the M3/4 but I don't feel like having body work done to fill in the hole occupied by the black back piece.

IND painted reflectors

Filmed over rear reflectors

I'm going to do black kidney grills (M235i) with M2 center, black side gills, CF spoiler, maybe CF mirrors. I'm going to do buy everything wholesale and install myself though.

Do you know how much bmw is charging for installation when it's at port?

It should be free installation. I got the black grilles and the CF mirror caps.

None made the cut for me. The only part that adds to the performance of the car is the coil overs. I'm tempted but haven't committed since I'm happy with the stock suspension other than a desire for more negative camber.

The rest of the parts are cosmetic which in my mind don't qualify as performance parts regardless of how BMW markets them.

the winglets are functional as well. but for the most part, your right. its a interesting ploy indeed. still going to be a sucker though, lol

My question is when do i harass my SA about these add ons? When the car is finished production?

I didn't see this option on the website. Do you have a link to it? I can see the option for the 3 series but can't find the m2 section with this option.

It should be part of your build order now if you want them port installed.

He's switching out the M2 CF for the 2series M Performance alcantra piece.

Remember when doing a port install you do NOT get back the stock M2 parts.

At the moment I have stainless steel pedals and black kidney grills ordered for my MG, planning for port install. Been back and forth in my head about the CF mirror caps and diffuser, but just not sure they do enough on an MG to warrant the price.

Search the net that is an easily installed item should you want to add it later.

Nothing but you're paying full retail for the part and you don't get your stock parts back IIRC.

You pay more than retail, aka an installation cost. Here's port install costs for some of the parts. You can compare that to MSRP.

Will they really do the coilovers at the port? I don't think so. In Sweden it may be a different answer than the US.
