e90 steering wheel weight difference
So I've been driving my new 325i with sport since last Thursday, and absolutely loving it. I did have to go back and drive the old e46 325xi tonight, and the wheel felt like my grandmother's Lincoln Towntank! Has anyone else noticed a much heavier wheel that gives a lot of feedback than the previous models? I'm not complaining, I prefer it this way.

I also had a E46 325xi and I'll agree that the steering on the new E90 330xi does feel alittle heavier, but I wouldn't go so far as to say the E46 feels like a Lincoln towntank (my father has one and its WAY lighter than anything that BMW has EVER made)..

I think my 325xi steering is somewhat light

Depends upon what year E46 we're talking about. My E46 (2000) has very stiff steering, very similar to that of the E36. The later models (2002-2005) are lighter. The 2001 is much lighter.
