How many miles with NO warranty visits?

So turning around another topic.. How many of you have made no warranty claims on your cars?

My 320d F31 is now 35 months old and at 22,500 miles and absolutely NOTHING has gone wrong and no warranty claims at all.

In the early days I did have a knocking noise from the rear going over speed bumps but it went before I could book it in. Since then no knocks, creaks, failures or anything.

With my E60, in the 3 years of warranty I had one rear number plate light changed and that was it

Not actually claimed on a car warranty in eons, find a majority of cars quite reliable.

Never had a warranty claim over 10 BMWs and probably 400,000 miles in total.

That will be the m wind noise pack that comes standard on all 3 series. They spent months in a wind tunnel designing the car and as they are so loud no on noticed the noise in the cabin...

Glad to say that after 28 months and 27,000 miles it's never missed a beat.

I had a poverty spec E90 320d SE for 5 years with no dealer visits beyond servicing...

Good spec F30 330d went back for 5 or 6 things in 2.5 years.

Stronger spec F31 340i lasted a week, as in the "other tread".

Seems to be with BMW, KEEP IT SIMPLE...

All have had the dreaded pirate ship features. But, that is a pointless dealer visit unless they fit the tape...

My previous F30 was in quite a number of times, mainly to do with knocking noises from the steering.

I must say even though I have had quite a number of issues they were mainly dealt with when I took the car in for a service so were not of to much inconvenience. I always had a loan car and did more than 6000 miles in them over the three years. I must say the the staff at the dealerships were always courteous and friendly and this helped in my buying decision for my next car which is another F30.

Front suspension struts replaced
Front suspension top mounts replaced twice
Steering rack replaced - when they eventually did this the steering knocking went.

Heater fan noisey (at 12000 miles)- Installed a grill to stop leaves getting into the fan.
Fan noisey again (at 99000 miles) - replaced the fan assembly.

Radio, aerial lead and aerial amplifier replaced. All due to poor radio reception which never really got sorted. Also had a number of software updates to try and fix this issue.

Hands free microphone stopped working.

High level rear brake light surround trim replaced - I think this was damaged by the technicians when attempting fixes for the poor radio reception.

Rattles from the drivers b pillar
Buzzing from the headlining.
Rattles/knocking from both front doors (at different times)

USB port in centre console stopped working - fixed after another software update.

1 side lamp bulb replaced.
2 DRL bulbs replaced.

I know it's not really what the OP meant but my 4 year old AUC car that I've had for 3 months and 3000 miles has already been in for a new steering rack

Having said that, I am fairly sure the fault was probably present when I bought it. The dealership were absolutely brilliant at sorting it all out though.

Nothing in 30,000 miles in the GT and nothing so far after 10,000 in the F31
Now you've made me say it, it'll break down on the M6 tomorrow

Finally a Whinge Thread!!

11 Months old now and been back twice for oil leak, big oil leak the first time from one of the turbos.
Once for fumes in the cabin and once for a failed attempt to cure the wind noise.

Compare that to my A6, 2 years , 28,000 miles and nothing, dinada.

Compare that to my V70, 19 years, 250,000 miles and apart from standard service items it's had 4 shox, 4 discs, one caliper, 2 brake hoses, an ABS computer, an engine mount, 2 lower wishbones, an indicator stalk, the odd light filament and an electric window switch. It's still got the original exhaust. Best car ever.

Multiple warranty issue for various engine related issues owing to very high mileage (before the days of the warranty being limited to 100K) - turbo, starter motor (recall), injector, alternator and battery (as result of failed alternator)

2011 e92 335d
No warranty issue in 18 mths and 26K miles

2013 F31 335d
Visit to recall to fix/remove some drainage ports in wings and another to replace MAF sensor) in 20mths and 28k miles

2016 F31 LCI 335d
Been in the dealer three or four times in 5k miles - driver's door striker adjustment, creaky door seals x 4, poor headlights/beam, tracking/alignment and leaking input seal on rear diff (twice). Oh and interior light randomly turning itself on too.
