Fluctuations right before shift

So ill be driving in sport mode. Around 2k-3k right before it shift it will start flucuating. You can feel the car bogging and even see my rpms going up and down a little. Goes back to normal once it shifts. If i hold it at those rpms and not let it shift it will keep doing it. Anyone every experienced this? Im hoping its something simple like a sensor and not my tranny taking a shit. Let me know if anyone has some idea of where to start troubleshooting. Thanks

I don't know, but I thought it was kind of normal for sport mode since your car won't shift until 3k RPM. I just always push it over the top to the next gear, never thought anything of it.

Hmm... I have a similar issue, but was told it is completely normal. As long as it doesn't go over 1000 rpm at once when it does goes up. I noticed this after installing DCI. Thinking it may have to do with the extra air coming in, but I am no mechanic. : popcorn:

You should do a search for "oscillation or surging" I know there's a long discussion on one of the other forums. I don't think anyone found a solution yet. I had it, than it went away and now it's back. I think for me it has to due with running E85.

Mine is Z4 35is. I am getting surging at moderate throttle cruising speed. Anywhere around 2500-3000 rpm. Not about to shift or anything like that. Could be at 30mph or 75.

I have not been able to log anything yet, and I when i look at the rpms gauge I can't visually see any difference but I sure feel it. So does my passenger.

I am running MHD v7. Tried 2 different maps.
