Question on Aussie spec - what needs coding

Hi guys

While waiting for my f80 cp to arrive, I've started looking into coding on this platform

I'm a big fan of coding, the vcds software for the Audi made it so easy to setup my rs3 how I like

I've got a few questions for existing owners

- do we get the full adaptive led headlights? Not just auto high beam but the full beam pattern shaping for oncomimg cars/following

- has anyone found a work around to get the speed limit to display in the hud?

- anyone tried the euro mdm setting coding? My one main gripe with the cp is how much they've neutered mdm mode to point where it acts really no different to traction on. I'd be keen to try the non-cp euro mdm

- what's the easiest solution to control the asd and exhaust flaps?

Any other must do coding changes you guys recommend?

YES, FULL ADAPTIVE WITH PATTERN SHAPING

NOT THAT I HAVE SEEN

I HAVE NON-CP, MDM IS UNRESTRICTIVE SO NO CODING DONE HERE, NOT SURE WHAT HAS TO BE DONE FOR CP TO HAVE NON CP MDM SETTINGS

- what's the easiest solution to control the asd and exhaust flaps?
1. START BY DISABLING MANUALLY (UNPLUG) AND SEE IF YOU CAN LIVE WITH THE SOUND WITH FLAPS OPEN ALL THE TIME
2. MACHT SCHNELL EVC WILL WORK WELL BUT PRICEY
3. BMS EVC TAKES UP YOUR OBDII PORT BUT IS ANOTHER OPTION THAT IS SLIGHTLY CHEAPER
4. DISABLE ONLY ONE EXHAUST FLAP (1 OPEN ALL THE TIME AND ONE ACTIVE) - THE SOUND IS VERY NICE IN MY OPINION, NOT BOOMY LIKE BOTH FLAPS OPEN, LEFT ASD ACTIVE, I DIDN'T LIKE THE SOUND WITH ASD OFF

Any other must do coding changes you guys recommend?
1. REMOVE THE "CONFIRM SCREEN" WHEN YOU FIRST START THE CAR
2. REMOVE THE DEFAULT AUTO/START STOP FEATURE
3. WINDOWS UP AFTER ENGINE OFF AND DOORS OPEN (ALLOWS YOU TO CLOSE YOUR WINDOWS AFTER YOU HAVE SWITCHED THE CAR OFF AND OPENED THE DOOR)
4. DVD IN MOTION - ALLOWS TO WATCH MOVIES WHEN DRIVING, THIS ONE IS ACTUALLY USELESS SO WOULDN'T REALLY DO IT AGAIN

perfect thanks mate

i had the video in motion and default stop/start noted down - i've had to buy kufatec modules for the dvd in motion on vag cars in the past

i assume then we also get the max brightness highbeams?

I have a MY16 LCI. In addition to what is already mentioned...

I did:

VCP EDC
VCP MDM
GTS DCT flash
One touch lane change moved from 3 to 5 flashes, makes life easier on the motorway.
Changed the going to Rolls Royce, a little nicer on the ears.
Folded mirrors on lock.
Flashing Brake Lights (Brake Force Display) (Upon hard braking the brake lights will flash)

I can recommend Alex from Alpine. He also did an engine update- not a DME flash, but made a difference regardless.

Whats involved in coding it? Do you need a full flash or connect via cable?

you don't need cables anymore

bimmercode or carly work off your phone

if you want to flash gts or cs trans, mdm, steering etc, get the thor app

ASD delete is a personal preference. If you don't have a tuned exhaust - you won't hear your factory CP exhaust - open or not - at full noise. This leads to hitting the limiter in corners as you don't have the aural clues.
