HKS BOV from eBay ?? Authentic?

Does anyone have any experience with the HKS BOV from eBay? I've read that they're not authentic but does anyone have any experience with them? It seems like a lot of people do have the eBay till BOV and works great but haven't read much on the HKS one. Any problems that they ran into?

The vendors will be in shortly to tell you to avoid them, while hinting that they can sell you a genuine one. I considered one for a while and my research turned up equal parts success stories and failure stories. My advice is to get authentic if at all possible, but if you absolutely can't afford it, the fake ones seem to be okay typically.

I had an HKS when I built my Honda. I paid about $200 for it. it came with an HKS box and had the HKS silver logo on the bov, it didn't look cheap but I don't know if it was real. didn't have any problems with it at all. still working with the new owner of the car.

There are so many replicas on eBay its difficult to discern a real one from a fake one.

I would try a reputable dealer and save the headache of wasting money on a possible fake from ebay.

I'll tell you this much, if the seller is shipping from overseas (Taiwant, China, etc.), I'd be pretty certain that it's a replica. I only buy from US sellers and I have over 1000 feedback so I've been around the block.

You're hired and the best part is you work for free, thanks!

If a problem with a fake bov arises, we'll be here to tell the OP we told you so.

For those trying to find out if there's is real or fake just google real HKS VS fake. Plenty of signs.

Anything less than $210 is certainly fake on Amazon/eBay. HKS restricts pricing on these to vendors so if you see a "deal" for $150 for a new one you're paying $130 more than you should for a knock off.

I've personally seen blown turbos from defective bovs and there's quite a few stories floating around where the fake bov's falls apart and the engine ingests the loose items.

If they were reliable, we'd sell them and we'd make more per bov sold vs the authentic brands. We refuse to sell them simply because they're not reliable enough.

We dont make money off BOV, we make money off the charge pipe.

If Ebay ones were good, we would sell them.
