Carbon hydrodipping?

Before anyone states, I did contemplate wrapping myself with carbon fiber wrap but I have kids and the Mrs in the front who just would not take care of it and it would get marked or sliced up pretty quick.

I am looking in to getting my interior silver parts hydro dipped in carbon fiber style. I think its:

4 x door handles
1 x Center console
1 x Main vent
1 x Side vent
1 x Steering wheel panel
(Might be a few other bits but only small)

What do you guys think this should cost, had 1 guy quote me like £350 but I think thats a bit high. Am hoping for something around £200-250?

Once I know what a realistic price would be from you guys knowledge, I will call around and try to bargain.

Surely you'd need quite a bit of carbon fibre to wrap yourself. It would be more economical to do the bits in the car first.

All very helpful comments so far.

I'm sure someone has done this and posted recently although I am going senile so may be wrong.

Dave.

Helpful replies guys lol!

A few people seem to have wrapped themselves but I don't see any discussion over hydrodipping.

Carbon dipping is something I'm going to get around to doing on my Caterham (nosecone etc). I've seen the results and they're spectacular!

When I do get around to it, I'm going to a place called ABS Auto Repair in Surrey. Not exactly close by for me, but their work is superb. Think their website is abs-paint.co.uk

You forgot the centre console trim!

Honestly wrap it yourself, only costs £40, looks much better than hydro dipped & mine is holding up perfectly even with my 2k+ miles per month!

There was a guy selling his cf hydro dipped trim for about £260 if I recall in the classifieds.

Also one of the members on here had his own company hydro dipping . I had a thread on it before I bought my carbon fibre wrapped trims.

If you do go ahead with some hydro dipped bits, let me know what you think of it. I was going to go down that route but having never seen any in the flesh, decided not to. Would be interested in its depth and if its lacquered, how rugged it is.

Lol, only wear them on holiday where I won't be spotted. It was 1am so I was safe outside to not be seen.
